Gray Photography Workshop and new friends!

This past Sunday I spent 11 hours in a photography workshop with Zach and Jodi Gray with Gray Photography, and several other local photographers. This workshop was hosted by Carmen Salazar and Beth Baugher with True Love Photography. All I can say is that several days later and I'm still on a learning high! Zach and Jodi shared so much of their knowledge, experience and best practices that will help me tremendously on my photography journey. This was the most valuable workshop I've taken to date.

Now that I have a better understanding of how to properly set my White Balance on my camera, I will rarely ever use the Auto White Balance setting. The difference is amazing. I bought an ExpoDisc. This baby makes all the difference!

Here are a few shots I took as well as some photos taken by Zach and Jody...

Here's a shot taken by Carmen of Carmen Salazar Photography. She hosted the Meet and Greet with Zach and Jodi at her house.

The In-Camera Workshop was held at the True Love Photography studio. Here we are soaking up all we can from the Gray's.

After the lecture part of the workshop, we went outside to get some hands-on instruction.

There are three ways of checking your exposure: Chimp Screen (LD), Histogram, and Expo Disc/Gray Card. Can you tell which one this is? Ha!

Here's one of our fabulous models, Jenna. Beautiful girl!

This was our other model, Ashley. She is sassy!

My good friend Marta took some time to flash me a big smile.

This is my other friend Leslie. She did a little posing for us too.

And here's Zach with his Rock Star approach to holding a reflector.

Gorgeous

Jenna is a pro!

And of course, Jodi's approach to making sure the reflector is at just the right position so we could get that perfect shot! What a trooper!

Here's Jodi capturing everyone on her Flip Video camera.

And here we all are at the end of the day. The group shot!! What a blast and what a wonderful group of people.
